My name is Rashodd. I got my CDL from Delta Tech about four years ago. I've been driving, doing flatbed and cattle, and coming into the program, the main thing is I was always taught to take my time. Getting into trucking, everybody is in a rush, you're governed by a clock, and they taught me how to slow down and take my time, get out and look, do everything that I was supposed to through the program, and which was a bigger thing whenever I got out on my own. Just having the instructors that I had here in the back of my head every day, take your time, pay attention to the details, and most of all, be safe about it. Driving, past six years now, everything has changed due to different demands with COVID when I started, but all in all, getting my CDL was about the best thing I ever done. It's provided me a way for my family in different ways, provided new chances and opportunities that I probably never get being from Mississippi. But for the most part, it's been great.
