1. The worst mistake you can make is thinking learning 10+ languages makes you more hireable. Pick one language and one stack, go deep, and actually get good at it instead of wasting your time bouncing between tutorials. 2. Don’t get stuck in tutorial hell. Watching tutorials feels safe but it doesn’t make you better. Pick a problem you want solved and build something that solves it. 3. Learn Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services. Every single company needs it and they expect you to know it day one. 4. Interviews are harder than the job. Start LeetCode as soon as you learn DSA. Practice behavioural interviews with the STAR method. 5. Build a real project. Not something you can finish in a weekend. Something with actual users or real impact. That’s what gets you hired. 6. Master system design. Rate limiting, caching, queues, real world tradeoffs. With AI making it easier to build, this is what separates engineers from everyone else. 7. Your network is your net worth. Go to career fairs, hackathons, and events. You never know what will open a door for you especially in this job market. #coding #computerscience #softwareengineer #bigtech #codingtips
