Practice behavioural interviews with the STAR method. 5. Build a real project. Not something you can finish in a weekend. Something with actual users or real impact. That’s what gets you hired. 6. Master system design. Rate limiting, caching, queues, real world tradeoffs. With AI making it easier to build, this is what separates engineers from everyone else. 7. Your network is your net worth.
