If you're launching an app here's how you can tell if it's ready to scale in seconds. Test your app by yourself is one thing but you have to get ready for thousands or hundreds of thousands of users. One way to prepare is optimizing your database queries. For example if you're doing this, you're making a new query for every single user. Notice how you're making a new query for every single user. If you have thousands of users then that database query would put you in linear time. The solution then is to get all of the IDs first and then query the database a single time.
