Real videos are winning. There is no better proof than what just happened with the Arizona Cardinals. NFL teams make fun videos for their schedule releases. Some of my favorites yesterday. The Cardinals was unanimously the worst, not just because they used AI, but because they were held back by it. AI humans and dialogue are still pretty bad, so they used mascots who can't talk. That made it very boring. Even the human character was like a muppet. They could have used a real human there, but they were very committed to this bit. They couldn't hide the AI quality by shrinking it, and put "Hollywood is cooked" on top. So they shrunk it down into zoom call boxes, which is a weird format, very boring compared to the other ones. Made these with a motion control model, which we can see here. That's why in this clip, Stephen A. Smith and Posty's head are moving with the mascot because the AI isn't separating those out. It's very weird. This comment I got yesterday should remind us that not everything is a short vertical video. You need to tell a real story and do it well. Real video, this includes animation and VFX too! Is the standard. It's the standard on social media too. It will be for a long time. I'm sure other teams used AI in their pre-production process, but that's different than using it in the final video. And the one team in this competition between all the teams that featured AI heavily, that team lost.
