This is not an AI video, the person at the start was AI generated. The guy who said it was is lying to prove a point. That was my entire point, even when zero AI was used, people cannot distinguish anymore. In addition to my analysis, I confirmed with the creator that he did not use AI. He had no ill intentions, but his video escaped containment and misrepresented AI videos to at least least 8 million people. He proved it well. I don't think he proved it well. His point that survivorship bias is a problem is valid. AI videos is valid, but the way to demonstrate to actually use an AI video to people could spot it. The problem is a lot of people are not able to spot it. He actually misrepresented the capabilities of AI video here. Many people are overconfident in their AI spotting abilities. The point was good one, this just isn't the way to make it... AI videos are realistic. I talk about that all the time, but a lot of people can still tell. That's very well represented in the comments of people who can tell, who couldn't tell, freaking out now. If you're seeing less AI on your page now, it is not necessarily a survivorship bias. Survivorship bias here means you only think you're seeing fewer AI videos, but you just can't spot them anymore. It is also because AI has changed the way it spread on social media. If you were bad at spotting AI before, or you were counting fingers and that was your only tell, you're probably much worse at spotting it now. But if you were good at spotting it before and blocked a lot of those pages, or you did the right thing and followed people who don't try to trick each other, then you're probably not going to see as much AI as you did when Sora was free and spamming everybody's feeds. Now the AI videos are congregating more along places where it makes money. I also think this guy learned a hard lesson because now when people see his real self, they think that that could be AI. This is why I've told people over and over, I will never do a gotcha video like this, because while you might prove the temporary point that AI is difficult to detect, you're going to hurt your reputation in the long run.
