Would you invest in an IPO? #investing This year, investors are getting a first hand look at some huge IPOs - Intial Public Offerings. It’s the first opportunity for retail buyers to invest in shares of all sorts of companies. But is it worth it? Data suggests most IPO’s see a first day “pop,” but that the people who really benefit from that are the ones who get shares at the offer price. If the price you pay is the closing price on day one, 3-year performance tends to be quite weak compared to the broader market. And those returns tend to be even worse when the company is valued at a high price to sales ratio at IPO time. So what’s your take? Any IPO’s you plan to buy? This is not financial advice. #stocks #ipo
