my WHY behind doing my own nails 💅

If you're still spending hundreds at nail salons, well let me change your mind. I started doing my own nails at home about three years ago and I never turned back. And I don't think I ever will. If you've seen my videos before, you know I share every nail day. I share the whole process, I share what I do, I do like a tutorial every time I do my nails. I realized I've never really shared my why, like why I started doing my own nails at home. Because I did go to a salon every single month without fail, pretty much since like high school. I always loved having my nails done, my nails but the gel would always fall off. It was just frustrating. So I decided to go get them done. When I finally just called it and said, I'm going to learn how to do my own nails at home. is when we would be moving multiple times in the future. If you've moved, you know it's such a hassle to find your new go-to person for those things. My sister actually started doing her own nails at home, got some tips from her, placed an order on Amazon. I did not have everything all upfront. I did have the necessity. I got an E-file. I did get a cheap one, but I truly, truly, truly do not recommend that. It was just not good. It like shook while it spun and it did not take the polish off effectively at all. It took me so much longer. Highly recommend a good E-file. The one I use is in my Amazon storefront along with everything else I use. Except for my hard gel, which I get from Erica's ATA. But I placed an order when everything came in and I did share an initial nail haul. I was not expecting to share every nail day for the past three years, but you guys love it. And it's honestly really fun to make that content. I love doing my nails. I also love helping other people on their journey of doing their own nails at home because it's so many things that are just so good for you in learning to do your own nails at home. It's like a hobby, it's self-care, you can just throw on your favorite show, listen to your music or your book, you're learning a new skill, you're working with your hands, you're away from screens. I mean, watching your show, if that's what you're doing. Like it's so many things that are just so good for you and learning to do your own nails at home. Obviously safely. Do your research before you start. That was my why. And if you're still here saying, I'd rather go to a salon. Honestly, fair. That's fine. But I know there are people out there like me, that are just DIY girls at heart. Like if someone else can do it, why can't I do it too? So I'm going to learn. It has been the most fulfilling, fun, creative, unexpected journey. I have lots of videos on my page showing everything I would recommend along with every nail day since my very first nail day three years ago. If you take anything from this video, just know that you can do it. Practice makes progress. Just remember that. You're not going to be super great from the start.
