If you want to get contact dermatitis from doing your gel nails at home, you really need to listen to this video because to this day, I still get comments on this video that's almost two years old at this point of people saying they keep developing allergic reactions. At one point, I bought a big pack of gel nail polish and I was doing them at home and all of a sudden my nails started getting really itchy, getting blistery and red and I got contact dermatitis. What's not so much the brand that you're using, but it's the ingredients in the brand. I was using this brand when this happened. When I switched to not using this brand, I still do gel nails at home. Switched to AIMEILI HPMA free gel polish and that hasn't happened to me since. I believe this is sold at Target too if you want something like to buy in person. I have been told multiple times that contact dermatitis doesn't necessarily go away once you get it. So you need to be very careful. What's not my experience, but it can happen. Once you get it, you might never be able to do gel polish again. A lot of professionals say you shouldn't do gel nails at home, but sometimes it's just not affordable to get your nails done every single time. I really like doing my own nails at home. I feel like it doesn't damage them as much. So it's not realistic for everyone to get their nails done every single time. So if you're doing gel nails at home, just be careful with the products that you're using. This is the light that I use. I will have this linked in my Amazon storefront.
