BYD have said that I can keep this car if I can go and get a coffee faster than it can charge from 10 to 70% so I swung open the charging port, grabbed the special charger and plugged it in and it starts charging. So I walked all the way to the cafeteria and by the time I'd ordered my coffee it was already at 33% so this is definitely going to be a close one. The reason it can charge so fast is a combination of their 1500 kilowatt charger and special battery blade technology. My coffee was finally ready so I grabbed it and ran back as fast as I could. See the car at 71% which is crazy considering I was only away for 5 minutes and it doesn't stop there because the charge was still running so rapidly climbing and it reached 97% after a total of 9 minutes, which is just as fast as filling a petrol car.
