Amazon Seller Vs Brand Owner All right guys, so we're gonna have a debate right now because we need to settle this. Amazon versus Shopify. I have a clothing brand, right? I think Shopify is better than Amazon because you literally have your own personal crowd of people that are going to shop with you for the rest of your life. I've been a customer of Nike's for like my entire life. That's my first, you know, argument. My first argument is on Amazon, it is going to be different customers fluctuate throughout the year, but you're always going to be in front of a customer versus Shopify, you don't have that. Like you gotta push your store in front of whatever. My next argument is that I think, I think in the clothing brand space, the profits are very high. You could do like 70% profit margin, 80% profit margins, very scalable, especially when you sell sets. You could sell higher priced items, sell less items and make more money doing that. Where I think that I got you beat though is with having your own Shopify and clothing brand is you have to do multiple different skews. You got small, medium, large and you kind of got to stick to the same price versus on Amazon, you can fluctuate your price throughout the year. So during Black Friday, if I'm selling a projector screen, usually $70, but it's Black Friday, I can raise it to 90 and put like 5% off for Black Friday and I still get sales because people are overly shopping during that time. Versus on Shopify, your price got to stay the same. When it comes to having like a business or a brand, if Amazon shuts down, if Facebook shuts down, if Instagram shuts down, I still have my email list and my SMS list. And I don't even need to follow Nike on social media to shop from them. I don't need to follow skins on social media to shop from them. I literally get emails from them and I'm still in the loop. So when it comes to Amazon, you can't email your customers and tell them, hey, like come buy this projector screen, whereas with my clothing brand, I can consistently sell to my customers through just having their email on the phone number. That was a good point. All right guys, so that's our opinions on Amazon and Shopify clothing brands. My argument is just way better. I cleared her. My last point really ate.
