reality of working in japan (as a corporate slave) please let me rant about my job in japan for a little bit because it's monday tomorrow and it's about to be 2 years at this job and i have not made an impact, i'm slacking off and doing nothing. which sounds like i'm slacking off and doing nothing, but no. i was hired for one thing, social media strategy or content creation. i do be making content, but have any of my strategies come out into the world? no. have i made any changes or any positive influence on my project? no. and that is so sad. and it's not because i'm bad at my job. that's just the reality of working in japan. sometimes you get invited to an amazing event, for example, like the japanese grammys as an influencer, but they'll be like, no, you can't film anything, so how can i help you get the publicity you want? it's just like a metaphor for my entire job and it's kinda sad.
