And almost 11,000 comments are buying it. Now, I want you to get comfortable spotting these because scammers use the same tactic, and being able to spot them will help you protect yourself. Luckily, it's a formula. Your first red flag is a highly emotional situation, like cheating, getting fired, anything where there's a strong reaction. Then scroll through the video. If you suddenly see a screenshot of a website or an app, it's probably an ad. If you're still not sure, go to the profile. Usually, it's the same staged formula. And check the bio. Sometimes it's right there. Whether it's an undisclosed ad or a scam, the point is strong emotions are the point because they get more views and they make us less likely to think critically. But it's a formula. So once you see it, you can spot it.
