new immersive museum in LA

there's a new immersive museum in LA that's pushing the boundaries of art and technology. This is Dataland created by Refik Anadol Studio where art and nature collide to create something unlike anything I've experienced before. Their newest exhibition, Machine Dreams: Rainforest, transforms one of the world's largest nature datasets into living, evolving artworks that explore of nature and our relationship with it. Latent Gallery. It's spring. Five distinct galleries. Felt completely different from the last. Some spaces were calming, others were overwhelming, and more than a few had me standing there contemplating my life. I felt like I stepped into another dimension. I felt like I was inside a video game. One of the highlights was the Infinity Room, an immersive environment that combines AI generated visuals, sound, and even scents inspired by rainforest ecosystems. I've done a lot of things in LA, rare experiences that's equal parts thought-provoking and completely unlike anything else in the city.
