Especially if you are a beginner and not sure what to be looking for when working with brands I would highly recommend keeping a contract and payment on sideshift. If a brand is trying to do that outside of the platform it does NOT mean it’s not legit or a scam (there are brands on there that do this and are definitely legit) it’s just if something should go wrong you wouldn’t be able to have it tracked. If you have just created your SideShift profile and started applying to campaigns and you're messaging back and forth with a brand to potentially work with, my number one advice: do not go off the platform with contract or payment. Those two most importantly. If a brand is trying to take you off a SideShift to pay you and for the contract, then if something would go wrong within the campaign and your payment's wrong, SideShift has no way of tracking that and they're not going to be able to help you dispute it or get the issues resolved. Not here to say that any brand that's trying to take you off the platform is a scam or they're gonna rip you off. That's not the case. I just wanted to share this because I've had a lot of messages asking how to know if a brand is legit or they're trying to scam you. And that's just my number one advice that I would give to you is to ensure that your contract and your payments are all staying on SideShift.
