It's time for another episode of Corey Reviews. My name is Corey and I own my own mobile mechanic company right here in the Dallas Fort Worth area. But my passion project is helping out local small businesses through the power of social media. So when that video popped up on my for you page, I knew I had to go out and give them a try. And I ended up driving 45 minutes all the way out to Plano just so I could do this review. But all you got to do to support this small business is like this video, comment, share and save it with yourself. And that'll help this video get more views which is ultimately going to help them get more views. But with that being said, today our review for you, Sazón de Loa. It's located right here on East Renner Road in Plano, Texas. And this is what it's going to look like on the outside. But let's see what they got cooking on the inside. So this is what it's going to look like on the inside. But they also have this patio on the outside and it is a beautiful day out so I'm going to eat it out here today. And here is going to be their menu. And here's the backside. Now I was thinking about doing a torta because you know me, I love tortas. However, this is kind of a nicer restaurant and the server recommended this Pollo Sazón. So that's what I'll be doing today. Now normally I don't ever show like what I drink because I usually just get water or a diet coke. However, they have a hibiscus tea and they said that I got to try it so let's check that out first. So here's going to be the hibiscus tea. And here we go, first sip. Okay. That's actually really tasty. Not too sweet, not too bitter, just good flavor all in all. Now while I wait for my food, of course you know I got to check out their chips and salsa. So here's the chips and here's the salsa. And I have no idea if this is going to be hot or not, but here we go, first bite. That is some dang good salsa. I mean yeah baby. That has some great flavor, not a lot of heat to it. It is actually warm so it's like one of those warm salsas. If you like that, you're going to absolutely love this. And now for the moment of truth. So here it is and this thing is just gorgeous. The chef owner of this place would just come out here, talk to me, said that this took them three months to figure out the right recipe before he came out with it. But now this is their signature dish. And boy am I glad I did my hair today because this place is a little fancy. But anyway, here we go. I'm not sure, we don't have fries so we're just going to go with the rice. First bite. I mean, it's rice. Nice texture to it, not dry, not too moist. Good rice. But now let's try this medley of veggies which that can make or break a place. Oh my gosh. That is freaking amazing. But now for the main dish, the pollo, let's go. Oh my gosh, that's so good. Like for real, this stuff right here, chef's kiss, absolutely amazing. The chicken is super moist, nice and tender, cooked perfectly. And whatever this brown sauce is around it, gives it amazing flavor. But how would I rate this place? So this place is a far cry from my typical burger places that I go to where I'm kind of dressed apart. Where today, definitely underdressed for this place if you ask me. This would be a fantastic place to go on a date, absolutely for sure. And honestly, there was not a single thing here that I put in my mouth that I did not absolutely love. And if you know me, I don't ever give out tens, so on this, I'd give it a 9.8 because it makes me want to clear my plate. But if you think you know of a better place to eat in the Dallas Fort Worth area, let me know in the comments. And then make sure to give me a follow to see where I go next.
