If you're a mom and you are constantly overwhelmed, because I really wish someone would tell me this like 10 years ago. I kept asking myself the wrong questions. I kept thinking, I kept thinking like, why can't I handle motherhood like everybody else? Why can't I, why can't I feel like I'm failing? Feel like I'm a bad mom? Think maybe I have a better routine, to be more structure. You know, maybe be more grateful for being a mom. But I was asking myself the wrong question. The questions I was asking is what has it, what has life or what has things in my life done to me personally? Because I had a son who brain surgery because he had epilepsy and his epilepsy wasn't controlled. So he was seizing everyday. A toddler. I was also working 11 dispatcher. So I just thought I had to keep pushing through and pushing through and pushing through and completely had nothing left for me at the end of the day. I never gave myself a time and a chance, my body, my nervous system to recover. I just thought you just keep going. Do. You sacrifice yourself for your family and for your kids because I felt like I choice, like if what else am I gonna do? Ignored the exhaustion, fact that I started to feel emotionally numb. I ignored the had emotional detachment. I ignored the fact that I on autopilot and just surviving my day and not truly living life and being present with. Now looking back on it, I realized that it wasn't stress alone. It wasn't trauma alone that you own kept me stuck in survival mode. Fact that I kept ignoring me. That I ignored everything about the fact that I needed also help. I needed to take care of me and allow my brain, my nervous system to have that calm reset. Because there is stress, there's going to be trauma. Life happens and your nervous system needs the reset. But when as keep pushing through and pushing through, you never get a chance to reset. Mode just becomes your normal. Like it's you. So it doesn't feel like you're surviving anymore. Like it's you. So can you imagine how life would be so different if you stop were the problem and that you something about you?
