CREATING MY HOME LIBRARY part 1

It is a very exciting day today. It is finally time to organize all of my books onto these beautiful bookshelves that my husband built for me. They are completely custom built into this entire wall. Not only did he do the math and figure out how to build all of these, but he also put custom lighting in here that I will show you shortly. I'm not gonna lie, I am really overwhelmed by this task, but we are going to do it together. The game plan: organize by genre and then kind of just by look from there. I have a lot of special editions, so the plan is for those to kind of go front and center in both of these. We are going to go romance that way and thrillers that way and fantasy that way. I've never organized books like this before, so this is going to be an adventure. Let's get started. I really want to start with my special edition Throne of Glass. One upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom. The one that started my entire book collecting obsession, my first edition of Fourth Wing. And then I have a small collection of books that I read and loved in high school, and unfortunately, I did not keep all my books. At some point in time, I was willing to give them away. So I have a couple, so we're going to make a fun little mismatch shelf for these. I'm not perfect and will definitely over time, but this is where we're at. The room is a little bit of a mess right now. On this wall over here, I'm thinking either a couch or a daybed and above it, I want to do some framed things kind of like this. This is my inspiration. Again, we're thinking very whimsical. I would love all your input and recommendations on not only furniture and vibes for the room, but if you think there are things I could be doing better with these shelves, please let me know. I've never organized a bookshelf before, but we can make them cuter. But I'm excited and Library room.
