I'm on a mission to get my library room organized. Step one is a brutal bookshelf purge because I need to fit all these books living on the ground onto my bookshelves. I need to get rid of anything that I maybe read and didn't love because if I didn't love it, I don't need to keep it. Or maybe I haven't read it yet, but I've had it for a while and I just don't see myself getting to it. When I first set up these shelves, I thought it was going to be a good idea to do one side of books I haven't read yet and one side of books I have read. And I thought that would act like a good motivation to try to get books from one side of the shelves to the other. And while I do think that was a good idea, I quickly realized that I own way more books I haven't read yet. So it's only these four shelves of books that I have read and everything else in the center, everything else I haven't read yet. Plus, once I actually read books and move them to these shelves, things started to get really chaotic because I just didn't have the space to add more books to these four shelves of books that I have read. And everything else in the center, everything else I haven't read yet. So I think once I reorganize the shelves, which I'll do in the next video, that'll give me more room too. Stay tuned for the next part of my library guest bedroom makeover. But step one is creating some room. I'm going to start with these four shelves of books that I've actually read. I read The Future Saints earlier this year, didn't really love it, so I think I can get rid of it. Same thing with Romantic Comedy. I thought this was fine, but I just don't feel the need to keep it. And same with A Love Song for Ricki Wilde. This is a bit difficult when I feel the need to keep every single book I own. Let's move on to my thriller shelves. These are both thrillers that I have not read yet. Off the bat, I feel like I could get rid of both of these Sally Hepworth books. I've had these both on my bookshelves for like years at this point and I just never reach for them. Next, let's go through my unread fiction and romance shelves. It's honestly harder when they're unread because I'm like, what if one day I want to read these? I'm trying to be strong. I pulled some romance books out. Now let's look at my fantasy shelves. Found some fantasy books. I've found 25 books I'm willing to part with so far. Hopefully that's enough. There's definitely a little bit more space in my shelves, not tons, unfortunately. I'm hoping once I do my shelf reorg in the next video, that'll give me more room too. Stay tuned for the next part of my library guest bedroom makeover.
