Picklesburgh, the largest and most famous pickle festival in America is returning to Downtown Pittsburgh in less than one month. And here's everything you need to know if it's your first time or if you're back again for more. First, this festival is completely free and it's running over four days this year, starting Thursday, July 16th through Sunday, July 19th. Expect to see all things pickles, ranging all the way from pickle pizza to pickle lemonade, fudge, pierogis, lemonade, grilled cheese, and the list goes on and on. There's lots of merch, handmade goods from local vendors and what they call the big pickle, which is a massive pickle balloon that is great for photos. Last year there were lots of different activities and competitions like the iconic pickle bobbing contest and the mechanical bull. Go on this hour. I watched people go on this for about an hour and was cracking up almost the entire time. Since this festival is in July and the Pennsylvania summer heat is no joke, one of my biggest and most important tips is to make sure you're staying hydrated. And don't forget to bring sunblock and reapply it because the festival's downtown and along the bridges, not a lot of the areas are shaded. Having the extra day on Thursday will be really nice for those wanting to beat the weekend crowds. The festival runs daily from noon to 10:00 PM. And for parking, the easiest time to find a garage for the day or one that has a good weekend rate. Sounds like something you'd enjoy, make sure to save this video for later and share it with the crew that needs to come to Picklesburgh this summer!
