Why does this weird looking washer solve such a massive problem? In heavy machinery, huge bolts can stay tightened for years. Over time, they get coated in corrosion and literally seize from built up tension. In many cases, you have to cut them off just to take the joint apart. That's exactly why this unusual toothed washer was created. It's called the Velocity Washer. During installation, it works like a totally normal washer, but when it's time to disassemble, you just turn the nut 12 degrees counterclockwise. At that moment, the washer folds in on itself, shrinks in height, and instantly releases all the tension on the bolt. The nut that wouldn't budge a second ago suddenly spins off freely, saving hours of work. And the manufacturer claims that even under heavy vibration, the washer won't trigger on its own or loosen the joint. If you vibe code, comment vibe and I'll send you the link.
