If you work on a team of any kind, this is a very important AI update. Anthropic just turned Claude from a personal assistant to an actual member of your team. It's called Claude Tag. Here's why it's a big deal. Basically, Claude now lives inside of your team Slack. Anyone can tag it and it will read the entire conversation and it will understand the full context and jump in to help in real time. So normally when AI does something for you, it acts as you using your logins. But that completely breaks the second that you put it into a channel with five people, because whose permissions is it using? So Claude flipped it. Now Claude shows up as itself, with its own accounts and its own permissions set by an admin. So here are three ways that teams are gonna get real value out of this. One, it actually does the work in real time. So when your team lands on a decision within a thread, Claude will go and do it while everyone else keeps talking. So the busy work handles itself. Two, it's one shared brain for your whole team. So before this, even on a team plan, everyone still had their private Claude account that only really knew their corner of work. Now the full channel all shares one Claude that has full context of everything going on and what everyone is working on. Three, it never logs off. Claude acts on its own, so it keeps moving and keeps working even when everyone else is offline. So this isn't really just a better assistant, it's the first time your whole team has a brand new teammate.
