Midjourney can now scan your whole body in 60 seconds, not just make pictures. They announced Midjourney Medical and a first product that builds a 3D map of your body in a minute. You step onto a platform and slowly descend into a shallow pool of water. Around you sits a ring of 40 modules holding hundreds of thousands of tiny sensors, each the size of a grain of sand. Everyone acting as a speaker and a microphone. They fire ultrasound through your body and listen for the echoes. A compute cluster reconstructs that into a 3D map down to a fraction of a millimeter. No radiation, no magnets, just sound and water. The company claims a scan nearly 100 times faster than MRI for a few dollars instead of thousands. They licensed the underlying tech from Butterfly Network for 74 million over 5 years. No AI is used in the scanning itself yet.
