One year ago, my friend and I wanted to start a small business. So we bought a store. Today, from all across Tampa Bay for our matcha sticky rice, our matcha soft serve, craninis, coffee, sandwiches. And I wanted to show you guys how we did it. So this store had been a neighborhood staple for decades, who lived nearby, I used to come here all the time. When I found out that it was closing, I didn't want local business to disappear. So my friend and and we bought. But we didn't just another store. We wanted to build something that felt more like a neighborhood bodega, a place that supported local businesses that we were really excited to sell. So first we partnered with local favorites, Paddy's Coffee, of course. They're our favorite coffee shop. They're a neighborhood. Then we decided to expand our beer and wine selection. That way, we'd have more than just Sutter home and Bud Light. Now we have practically local brewery, think of. Then we decided to add soft serve. With soft serve and I can be obsessive anytime I'm gonna do something. So we spent months testing out different recipes. Until we landed on what we felt was the perfect soft serve. We sampled it out to tons of customers just to make sure that everybody liked it too. And basically what we found was our favorite was using grass-fed local cream from a farm that's away. It's Dakin Dairy. They're pretty popular in the. We went and did the farm. You could see a video on our page, and I think that's why our quality personally. Then everyone us to do matcha, us to do matcha and sandwiches. And it just kinda took off from. And again, we put quality. We wanted really good quality matcha, organic ingredients. Just. The best of the best. And I really think that that's what has helped us as we have in one year. And you know, somewhere along the way, we kinda stopped being just a convenience store. Now we're more. You can just pop. You can grab convenience store items. But you can also get a coffee, a matcha, craninis, coffee, baked, convenience store, craft beer. But honestly, what makes us most proud isn't it's that we built something that we can really be proud of and that the neighborhood supports. So if you've ever supported Hyde Drive-Thru, I just wanted to say thank you. If you haven't stopped by yet, we'd love to meet. Feel free to stop on by. We're just getting started.
