Here's some things I'd buy if I was starting law school this August. I found all these products on the Prime Day deals, so make sure you go check them out. I have the link in my bio to the Amazon storefront. It's called Prime Day Law School Essentials. Okay, now let's get into it. First thing I would get is a second monitor. I love my second monitor. I just found a cheap one on Amazon. I'm including the one that I got for around $60, $70. It works wonders. Staying on the electronic stuff, I would make sure you have a printer that works at home. I like to print out notes and stuff, so I would make sure you have a nice working printer or at least make sure your school provides for printing services. Next, I would also get a laptop stand and a book stand. I'm going to put those two together. I have found that my book stand and my laptop stand have been very helpful in like neck pain and strain because you're like looking at it at a low angle all day. So I definitely recommend getting something like that. After hours of sitting in my desk all day, I like to sometimes move the stand over to my bed or just like when I'm ready, I'm like reviewing something, whatever. Um, I recommend getting a lap desk. I use that and it just makes it easier in bed and kind of like still keeps you awake. Make sure you don't fall asleep. You can put your phone, you can put papers. So I recommend a lap desk. Going with the lap desk if you like to read a little bit later or at night or it's a little bit dark, I recommend getting a little reading light. They're super easy to use for so many things, not only law school, so I don't know, it's just a cute little extra added thing. One more technology thing I recommend getting a mouse. I cannot work with my fingers like this all day. I don't know if I have arthritis, I don't know what it is, but I recommend getting a mouse and the exact same one that I got is on Prime Day deals. Next moving on to supplies. So unless your books are digital, I recommend getting like sticky notes, like little tabs, highlighters, things to do in your book. And anyways, they're just good to have either way because I'm sure you will have something on paper. Also, legal terminology, you're going to have your one else. So I recommend getting the Bluebook for citation. And they'll Bluebook also has an online version which some may find easier. So I don't know, I had to buy the Bluebook, um, but then I also ended up getting the online version, it's like a yearly subscription thing. So I highly recommend that. Next, this is something that I had to learn the hard way, but it was backpack over to tote bag. I know tote bags are so cute. I tried, I really threw out my shoulder. Like the laptop and itself is super heavy. So I recommend getting a backpack, getting a nice and sturdy backpack. This one, which is a good brand, is on sale for Prime Day right now. And then you need an agenda. You need a desk calendar. You need to write down all of your assignments, your readings, your things to do, your tasks, all of it. So I definitely need it. I use my desk calendar, the agenda and I use my, um, Apple calendar. So whatever you have to do to remember your things. So again, these are some options. And then I'm not gonna forget blue light glasses. Your eyes will start burning, like today my eyes were so fried. I couldn't keep them open any longer. I wasn't even tired. My eyes were just burning. So I recommend getting blue light glasses. And those are all the things that I recommend for a first year law student. These are all recommendations. You don't need them, but they do make the process a little bit easier. So again, if you want to check out anything I put in this video, I made a Prime Day Law School Essentials list on my Amazon store front. So check it out. It's in the link to my bio. Bye.
