I'm 23 and I'm 23 years old and I think I live a pretty normal life. So I am here to tell things that are not normal to be doing at 23 in case you've been feeling a little bit stuck or behind. 1. Annual international trips. It is not normal to be taking constant international trips, even if it's just once a year. That is not feasible for most people. 2. Going into credit card debt for trips. I know that like the financial literacy crisis is like an all-time high and people just like have this pressure to keep up with the momentum. But please, please, please, please, please do not put your Europe trip on credit card, okay? I'm begging you. I'm begging you. You are 23. You hopefully have such a long life to live. You've got a long time to go to these places. And the goal is not to shame debt in general. So many people have debt. I am talking specifically about willingly putting your chips on these credit cards. Just don't do it, okay? 3. Spending hundreds of dollars on beauty treatments and products monthly. I'm a DIY girl. Most people I know are DIY girl. It's not normal to be spending $500 on beauty treatments alone and then on top of that spending $300 on beauty products even though you already have certain beauty products at home and they're not running out. That's not normal. I'm tired of pretending like it is. I can't be doing all that. 4. Living a luxury lifestyle. I don't know if this is me and social media has just become that way, but it feels like so normalized now. Living this luxury lifestyle when you don't have the luxury funds. Don't do it. Having a lot of designer things. Not normal at 23. 5. Having it all figured out. If you're not super sure what's next, school, love, life in general, I promise that's not that's pretty normal. Do not feel pressured and wear if you're like suck at like 3 AM. What am I doing? Should I go back to school? I don't know for you. I don't know for me either. Only time will tell. Let me just remind you 23 is not old. You're so young. Alright, I'm going to go set off my soapbox for now, but I love you and I hope you have a good day.
