I feel like we always get questions on the setup that we bring to the beach with the baby so I'm going to show you everything we have. This is the little setup. We love our lounging gate tent to keep her shaded. And then inside I just have a playmat that's a little bit softer. A little portable fan. A portable changing pad, diapers and wipes. A lightweight hat to cover her face. One of her toys. A portable sound machine for when she takes a nap. A hanging binky (LOL there's def sand on it) and a binky strap so it does not get sandy. And this muslin cloth to wrap her in for her nap because I find if I rock her with just bare skin, she never can fall asleep. But if I wrap her up in this and her skin isn't touching mine somehow, she falls asleep. (a large tee shirt can also work!) we usually play, diaper change, nap (while mom & dad relax), wake up + feed, play some more! and babies are really so comfortable.
