Like a very minimal note. So if you're looking for a really good blueprint as to like how to get the essentials without going overboard, Sara's is a perfect example. So right off the bat, she has her travel system, which this Joie Ginger is super popular. A lot of people are registering for this. It's a baseless, it's a baseless car seat, so you do not require a base, which is really good, especially if you travel. It's very convenient and it clicks into the stroller frame. For the toddler seat, it does drop down into a bassinet. It's not going to be your perfect bassinet because it's like a multi-function, but a bassinet nonetheless. If you're having a winter baby where you feel like you don't need the bassinet, still keep that component in mind because if you plan to have more children, you may have a baby in a season where bassinet will be perfect. Okay, and then she has a wrap style carrier, which I love. The Solly is amazing. It folds up so small. I would actually keep mine in my diaper bag, but it allows you to do skin-to-skin also without having to have your hands tied up. I think that's something people kind of forget about in those early days. Like your baby wants to be held and be skin-to-skin with you, but you still have to get stuff done. So I used mine a ton for that purpose. She has a structured carrier, and this carrier is going to be more for like your long-term wear out in public type situations. Example, we use ours a ton still for like Costco runs, the grocery store, farmers markets, things like that. We've also done vacations to places where we walk a ton and we would carry Benny in that. Think more of this as like a long-term carry where you need the support for your back. The structured carrier is also going to grow a little bit better with your baby. Once your baby reaches a certain weight limit, the wrap style is a little bit more challenging. She has her travel crib/pack and play. Things to look for in a travel crib, you just want to make sure that the mattress height is adjustable. This is a mistake I made and it was very challenging to get my tiny little newborn baby essentially all the way down to the floor. This pack and play also has an attachment for the changing pad, which I also love, especially if you have like your parents hoping you care for him. Just kind of helps save your back. A baby bouncer, these are the bomb. I do always recommend a toy bar that I found on Amazon and it's on my Amazon storefront. Reason being is this is just really boring. Not a huge deal, just something to consider. Joie, yes, huge fan of the Joie. I now own two. I'm obsessed with them. I keep one in each car. I use them constantly. It just makes going to public places so much safer for baby because not all carts are created equal and some of the seats are just kind of janky. So this is not only cushiony for baby, but it keeps them nice and secure on the sides. She does have one car, so she's got her mirror and then she has her next car seat. Love this car seat. It's fantastic. The turning component has been a lot of talk in the comments of like, is it necessary, yada yada. And no, obviously nothing is necessary. You will survive with anything you have, to be honest. But the rotating car seat is going to save your freaking back. Your baby is going to get bigger and heavier and wigglier. So anything that's going to help you get them in and out of the car seat without causing you to break out in a full-body sweat and lose your damn mind is a win in my book. I love the turn to me because it goes up to 120 pounds. It's her bedside bassinet, which I love. Something to look for with a bedside bassinet is just that the side drops down and this one does. You don't necessarily need that if you know you're going to be doing bottle feeding, but if you're breastfeeding, it just makes it more convenient for like an in and out situation. Then she has her nursery furniture, which I love and her glider. Yes. A tip with a glider, I did opt for a white one when I was registering, but I have pets and I did not think about my black cat likes to lay in this chair all the time. Just consider the color of your chair if you have pets, things like that. She has like this hanging diaper caddy, which I like because it's up and away. However, the kind of benefit of a diaper caddy is that you can move it around your house. So just think about that. If you don't plan to move it around, that's fine, but just something, you know, to have on the brain. My all-time favorite baby monitor. I am kind of like a minimalist when it comes to baby monitors. I do not want it to connect to Wi-Fi. I don't want any wearable tech. I literally just want to be able to see the baby and this is the perfect monitor for that. Screen is huge, the image is crispy, you can see baby breathing. I just love it. There's like nothing about this monitor that I do not like. I've been using it for 14 months straight, zero complaints. She's got her mattress protector and her crib sheets, bomb. More crib sheets and then bassinet sheets. Don't forget a bassinet mattress protector as well. These are actually the exact bassinet sheets we had and I love them. They're actually on Amazon, but this Joey and Joan, I don't know, something about them, they're like really soft, really stretchy, like I just love them. She has her sound machine with portable sound machine. Because her portable sound machine actually has this little light on it, she could almost skip the egg light completely and then just pack this in your hospital bag and or keep it on your bedside table. I think that because this sound machine has a light on it, that this egg light you could just omit it. I have not personally used the Mom Cozy portable sound machine with light, but I do have the canopy one and it is fantastic. So if you're looking for like a travel all-in-one situation, this one or the canopy one would be really good thing to register for. A pump and feeding stuff, I love all of these things. One thing I did recommend for her because she said she was going back to work. Now I don't know if she's going to be going to an office or if she works remote, but if you go back to an office, you might want to consider sort of like cooler bag, pump bag, just so you have everything you need in one spot when you go to pump at work. So all this, I love a feeding cover even if you plan to bottle feed, combo feed, formula feed, whatever. Baby gets to a certain age and I want to say for us it was around like three, fourish months where he was so curious about everything going on that if we were in public, he would not take a bottle. This, though it gives you privacy, is actually giving baby a little bit of privacy so they can focus on their feed and you're not spending a super long time trying to get them to eat at dinner. Yes to all this, Keekaroo Peanut bomb. I freaking love that thing. Check out my video comparing it to the Skip Hop dupe. I love a travel like changing pad like this. I keep this in my car all times now. It's really nice to have if you're like at a restaurant or somewhere where you don't want to lug your whole diaper bag to the bathroom just to change the diaper. This will hold like two diapers in one side and a pack of wipes, so it's perfect. I love the Diaper Genie. It helps maintain smell so well and I know a lot of people don't like to buy the refills, but for me, I think it's worth it. I want to love this diaper bag so much and I've heard good things, but I've also heard some really bad things, like mixed reviews, that it's a bottomless pit and really hard to see everything in it. I've not used it for myself, but I do have a friend that has one and says she doesn't really love it. So just definitely something to consider. If you're going to splurge on a bag for $250, I would make sure you love it and like even if you can, go in store and like scope it out. She's got her diaper and wipes brand and then a wipe dispenser. Yes, I love that. It makes it easier to pull at one-handed without the wipe thing just like flinging in the air. Okay, and then yes to all this. I absolutely am in love with the ATTITUDE diaper cream stick. This is not what I'm using after I'm cleaning up my baby and they're red, okay? I'm using this as like a prevention tool. So every single night and before I know I'm going to have him in his car seat for a while, I will put this all over his bikini area and butt cheeks and things like that on clean skin. And that helps create a protective barrier on the skin and decrease the chance of diaper rash from sleeping in a wet diaper or riding in a car seat for like a while with a wet diaper. She has her bottle preference here and I think this is a perfect amount. So she's asking for six littles and four total bigs and I think that's a perfect place to start. You will kind of see how many you like to have on hand from that point forward. You might want more, you might feel like that's perfect, but either way, I love that she has this amount. People kind of go short on the little bottles, but you'll go through like 10 to 12 of those in the early days. So yeah, you'll want more. A little travel brush set, bomb. Okay, starting solid stuff, she's pretty slim. So she's got her high chair and some bibs. I did recommend silicone bibs or dishwasher safe bibs just because they're easier to clean and then some basic starting solid stuff like you could literally just start with like one shallow bowl and like an open cup. That's a good place to start. And then for the high chair, I do actually really like this one. It looks pretty wipeable and it does fold to be pretty small. But I do always recommend a hook on high chair, not just for going to restaurants, but going to parties, yada yada, things like that. It's just so convenient to have baby have a safe place to eat and you don't have to rely on a restaurant having a high chair. Now that my baby's a confident eater, I actually have him use this full-time hook to our kitchen counter. This makes cleanup a lot easier and then it doesn't take up unnecessary floor space in our kitchen. I actually have used the Lalo and the Inglesina, they're both pretty comparable. It just depends on your needs and I can get into that if anyone has questions in the comments, but both are really good and both are on my storefronts. Okay, in bathing, yes to both of these things. It looks like maybe she doesn't have a tub, so this is a really good alternative if you don't have a tub in your house. Angelcare bath seat, that's the bomb. And then for this baby bath pad thing, I'm assuming she's using it in her kitchen sink. If you may want to check, we use this in our kitchen sink to start and it fit. So like if this fits in your kitchen sink, um you probably don't need that. Towels, washcloths, all that, you want more than you think. You will go through them so freaking fast. And she has a couple swaddle options here. They're okay, so I love the Velcro swaddles, but I would be a little hesitant with the KeaBabies, so I actually had this exact set. They run a little big, so even with the zero to three months, they were a little bit looser than the ones I liked, which were the Aden and an Anise, I believe is how you say it from Target. These were perfect when baby got a little bit bigger, but in those first months, like you really want that nice and tight because they're used to being in the womb. So I would keep these or maybe even just do like one of the KeaBabies since they run big and then register for the different brand that's a little bit smaller. And then for clothes, that's adorable. Um that's so cute. Um for clothes, I was told when I was making my baby registry that gowns were like the best thing to do and honestly, we did not really love them. We ended up just doing two ways of pajamas and I think that that is one of the clothing items worth putting on your registry. I think clothes, clothing can get a little out of hand a little quick. If you're going to put clothing items on there, I highly recommend doing like really good brands of zipper jammies. Kite Baby, Little Sleepies, Magnetic Me, Little One's Shop, Carter's Purely Soft, Bamboo, because yes they're more expensive, but for reference, my child is in the 99th percentile in height. He is also 14 months old. He can still fit in a Little Sleepies 6 to 12 month jammy. So even though they're more expensive, they are going to grow with your baby a little bit better. These are perfect items to register for because you can kind of guide people like, hey, this is the brand I want and they can kind of show their personality through prints and things like that. Yes to all this, this is the perfect stuff. And yes to all this, this is a perfect amount with good pacifier clips. Okay, and then I love all the, this is perfect, simple. These four things is all she has for toys. The only thing I would add potentially is a large play mat for when baby can roll off of this and an upright activity center. Some people don't like them, some people don't like containers at all, which I understand. However, when you and or your spouse are alone with the baby and baby is more upright than what would be in a bouncer and maybe even rolling, you want to be able to take a shower or whatever you need to do hands-free while baby's awake. You don't want to only be like, oh, I can only shower when baby's asleep because guess what, your baby might not be a good sleeper. I used my upright activity center for a ton is I would do a feeding and to help baby not spit up, I wanted him to be upright, so I would put him in his activity center and he could play and then I would typically like fold laundry or put dishes in the dishwasher or whatever and he was safe, he was occupied, he was upright and I had a free hands-free moment. Best way to find something that's safe, hip-friendly, adjustable foot plate, so baby can be flat-footed with a slight bend in the knee and then limit those times to like 10 to 15 minutes max. And then she's got her breast pump. Make sure you check with your insurance. Typically your Spectra S1 and sometimes the S2 are covered by insurance. All right, that's the audit. And if you want me to audit your baby registry, let me know in the comments or follow the links in my bio. Sara, good luck. Hope this helps.
