Why is everybody telling me to stop using AI? How can a chatbot possibly be bad for the environment? It is super bad for the environment because anytime that you use any form of artificial intelligence, your request gets sent to a massive data center, packed with thousands of computers running on extreme power, 24/7. And these computers get dangerous hot. These data companies have to consistently keep their computers cool with massive industrial cooling system that takes up our clean drinking water. Oh, they can't use water or recycled water because they'll just ruin the computers. And don't go in the comments saying recycle water or they use the loop systems. So the time these companies don't even do that. They say that they do it, but they don't. Chate alone uses 39 million gallons of water every single day. That's a lot of water. The craziest part is that people don't even think AI is real. They think it's behind a digital screen. No, it's definitely real. It has real environmental effects. This is what our water is going to look like if we don't do anything about it. What can you do about it? I'm not telling you to do anything, but I canceled my chat GT subscription and I switched over to Eco GT. Runs on LPS instead of Gpus, it uses 10 times less water, 10 times less energy while being efficient. Every high-speed prompt plants a tree for you. Why you're using AI? You're also helping the environment.
