If you hate our planet, please just continue scrolling. If you're still here, there's only 20,000 polar bears left on the planet and 20,000 orangutans and 4,000 tigers left in the wild. And sooner rather than later, our fresh water is literally going to look like this if we don't stop using big AI. That's why BT alone uses over 39 million gallons of water every day just to cool down their data centers. Fresh water, mind you. The water cycle doesn't apply here at all. Giant egg rock all together draining fresh water every single day. My much more than we can ever imagine. So, what can we do about this? Either stop AI entirely or you can take baby steps and use a more eco-friendly option. Are a ton of solutions out there, but the one that I found and I like to use is called EcoGPT. This is the one that I like to use and I found them because they use 10 times less energy than ChatGPT and also use 10 times less water. It's actually really cool because for every 100 poms that I sent it, I get to plant a tree and track that growth. And I can also track how much I'm helping the planet as I use their AI.
