Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
I've got an interesting problem that I'm hoping one of you will be able to help me with. I'm gonna make some built ins for this area, and here's what that should look like. But this little box in the corner doesn't make sense. What the heck is this thing? So this room next door actually has an open wall, but even that doesn't really help me figure this out. Looks like just an empty space. There, but nothing that warrants a box. It looks like the steel beam extends a little bit into this wall area. Is it possible they built that just to cover the extension of the steel beam? Okay, I know my built ins are gonna come out about a foot. So I might as well just cut into this thing and take. There's definitely wires in here. Okay, so, yeah, it looks like the steel extends into this little area, and they push the wires around it. Thing to cover it up. Here's another look from that other room. Now that I'm looking for it, I can actually see those wires pushed around the end of this. Okay, so here's the question. What do I do with this thing? Around it like it is in the picture? Do I make the shelves go straight across and just make that protrusion, like 6 inches wide. There's gotta be a smart way to make this silly design flaw disappear. I'm open to any and all ideas. Maybe some of my new art friends could chime in. Please follow. And thanks so much for watching.
