What does a quarter cord of wood actually look like in your backyard? And can I get it loaded before the storm rolls in? If you buy those bougie bags of wood at Lowe's, you'll wind up spending $400. So here's what it actually looks like to get a quarter cord delivered to your house. They're not gonna stack it for you. If you are lucky, they will dump it in your driveway, and you can bring it back and stack it up. The cost for a quarter quarter is about a hundred bucks, which is about a quarter of what it costs at the hardware. The wood will probably be a lot better also. It's denser and burns longer and cleaner. But that might not be a great thing for a pizza oven, which we'll see in a minute. Hmm. Looks like this fire went out. We'll wake it back up with a leaf blower. We shouldn't be seeing this much smoke. Alright, back to stacking. This fire is out again. So I learned that having this thing all the way open is not the best. By having the door just cracked, you're promoting more forceful airflow. This hardwood is way denser than the stuff I'm used to, so it's a little harder to let me know if you guys have ideas to fix this. This piece looks like it's partially decayed by fungus.
