Woman to most thing now, system. Never guard, taught through. As a girly who loves to study her own nervous system and regulation, here are four things that I like to do before the world gets any access to me. 1. Change how you wake up. Instead of using an obnoxious alarm system that puts you into a fight or flight right away, I like to use something that is calm and grounding. I use an app called Wonderwake, which is an alarm app that uses sounds that rise from sound. It's calming and regulating, and it's not going to spike me into panic. 2. No phone. This one's easier said than done, I'm gonna mother you with facts, but no, the world should not get access to you before you give access to yourself. 3. Caffeine not on an empty stomach. Our bodies, complexity, not never large caffeine on an empty stomach. Our female bodies and the complexity of our hormones are not never meant for large caffeine on an empty stomach. 4. Sunlight!!!! Sunlight is one of the most simplistic but ancient signals to the body that it's going to get going. Your nervous system is your foundation of your work, your relationships, your ideas, your creativity. You need to nurture it. These are not hacks, this is nothing new. This is quite literally what your body has always been asking for. Start with how you wake up. You can download the app Wonderwake. The link is in my bio.
