Let's setup a Rapunzie
Quince Candy Table
This is for the quinceanera
with the theme Rapunzel.
And this venue is actually
a home.
It's a ranch style home
So look who greeted us.
This place is in the city of
Rialto.
And yes, people can rent
this house
out for their parties,
which is so awesome.
This is the main table
where the quinceañera
will sit
with her court.
I love how they included
the little hint of Rapunzel
with the lizard.
This is the event that I
mentioned
was going to be outdoors,
and when we arrived,
we realized that it's actually
in a air conditioned barn.
I was very happy about this,
with a sense of relief
because now none of her
none of her treats
are going to melt.
If you remember
candy shopping with me,
we were picking out
items that were going to
do well with heat.
For events during the
summertime,
I always tell the client
that we highly,
highly recommend
putting their candy table
somewhere indoors.
And if that's not an option,
then we at least ask
that they put it in a
fully shaded area
out of the sun.
With formal events
like quinceañeras,
Sweet Sixteens,
weddings,
that they open their candy
table
right after dinner,
typically about two hours
after the party has started.
A lot of the time,
everyone is pretty anxious
to help themselves out
to the candy table right
away.
We were not going to
stay.
We were just gonna set up,
leave and come back later
for pick up.
So the client just asked
if we could put a sign
on the table that says
close.
And I totally get their
concern.
She even mentioned
that she went to a party
recently
where they had a candy
table,
and the tias and the grandmas
attacked that candy table.
And I see this happen all
the time.
People think that it's the kids
that are gonna be all over
it,
and it's actually the adults
And I think it's just
because it's so pretty
that maybe the kids
don't even realize that it's
candy.
And also, candy just brings
out
the kids in in right?
Whenever I go to these
parties,
I sometimes regret never
having a Quinceañera
because
What do you mean you can wear
a beautiful dress like this.
This girl was stunning!!
When I turned 15,
my dad gave me the option,
do you want a quinceañera
or do you want a car?
And I picked a car!
But do you blame me?
Because I am the oldest
daughter,
I wanted to be super
independent.
Oh, I don't know.
Maybe one of these days
I'll throw myself a quinceañera.
Anyways,

My mouth is watering!
I really wish I could stay.
