Chores I've been avoiding ✨ LAUNDRY ROOM DEEP CLEAN

Avoiding doesn't begin to describe the level of avoiding I've been doing to deep clean our laundry room. I found every excuse in the book to delay this, which did include being pregnant and having a baby, so those are pretty good reasons to do just a quick clean to get us through. But our laundry room has started smelling not as fresh and clean as I feel like it should after washing. So I knew it was finally time to get this done. We're deep cleaning this entire washing machine today. I'm scrubbing every part that I can get to. Let's get into this and clean the tray. The detergent goes in. The amount of buildup in here is telling me that this needs to happen much more often. I just use this spray, Dawn, and a scrub brush to get in all the crevices. And I also wanted to clean the inside of the actual machine as well, because there is definitely some stuff happening in there too. I've never cleaned the filter in my machine before. And I'm sure you can tell. Oh my goodness, this was disgusting. I kept saying this should be a boy's job. I didn't attempt this while I was pregnant because I don't think I could have handled it. Now I should have put a towel down before I tried to empty this hose because even after I emptied the water out of here, water still came pouring out everywhere. I gave that a good scrub and then I threw a washing machine cleaning tab in and ran a hot cycle to finish that off. The last thing that we need to do is vacuum out the lint trap. I finally got one of these connectors that goes on your vacuum so it can get everything that is trapped down below. Tell me how we didn't start a dryer fire with all of this that was in there. This is going to go on my list of things to do once a month now because, wow. And then I just vacuumed out the inside of the dryer. Look at all of that. Sparkling clean now and ready to get back to my regularly scheduled daily load of laundry.
