Find the gate for the most expensive flight currently boarding, ideally business class to somewhere that sounds important like Geneva or Dubai and walk up to the desk with the energy of someone who definitely belongs there. Do not have a ticket. Do not have ID ready. Have a slightly irritated expression like the upgrade process has been a personal inconvenience to you specifically. When the gate agent asks for your boarding pass, look genuinely surprised that this is still a requirement in 2025. Pat your jacket pop slowly both of them, then your back pocket, then your carry on. Unzip three separate compartments while sying quietly. At no point during this process should you produce a boarding pass because you do not have one. Eventually, security will escort you away from the gate. As you leave, turn to the person behind you in line and say loudly. This is exactly why I usually take the private. This method generates zero dollars. It generates a story that is significantly better than whatever you were doing that day.
