If you keep buying cute clothes but your outfits don't turn out how you imagined, you're probably not dressing right for your body shape. Today I'm going to be talking about the hourglass body type, which means that your shoulders and hips are the same width, but your waist does naturally more defined. Also, these are just styling suggestions, so feel free to wear whatever makes you feel confident. Starting off for tops, you need to find ones that highlight your waist. My favorites are wrap tops, bodysuits and fitted tees, and cinched waist tops, especially these tops that are cinched at the waist. Open necks, v necks, and v neck tops are also super flattering. Basically avoid anything oversized and boxy because it's going to hide your waist. Belts are perfect because not only are they amazing accessories, but they're also going to draw attention to your waist. They can also add a fun pop of color to your outfit. And for bottoms, anything high-waisted will look incredible. But also anything that is fitted on the hip. Flare jeans, bootcut jeans will be the most flattering. And try to avoid anything too baggy or barrelled because it's going to hide your figure. Lastly, for dresses, look for anything fitted on top and flared at the bottom. But any bodycon dresses will also be incredibly flattering.
