I just found out that if you've ever linked your bank account to Venmo, you are eligible for $500 or more. Here's what actually happened. When you went to connect your bank, Venmo showed you a screen that looked exactly like your bank's login page. So you thought that you were logging directly into your bank, but you weren't. Your credentials were being routed to a third party company called Plaid the whole time, and they were collecting your financial data without you knowing. That's not a glitch, that's deliberately deceptive, and now there's a class action over it. If you've ever linked a bank account to Venmo in the U.S., you already qualify. This one isn't open to file yet, and instead of hoping that someone reminds you in the comments, Claim Hunt notifies me automatically the second that it opens, and I'm already first in line.
