Unfortunately, it's way too hot for me to be putting on oils, butters, serums. I am not doing all that shit. I'm so sorry. It's way too hot. But you can still achieve radiant skin without having to do all that. Here's some products that I think will be helpful for that. And the bonus point is that I still smell nice. So, that's let's get started. I've always said this that your body care routine has to start in the shower. I prefer to avoid cream body washes (or washes that don't lather) when facing high temperatures. Because I just really want to make sure that I'm getting all the sweat off of my body. I begin with a Goshi, African Net, Korean Mitt, etc. instead of a towel for a more thorough cleanse + slight exfoliation. Which you can use a Goshi, African Net, Korean Mitt, or the Multi-Exfoliating Mitt. Anything that's going to lather well and give you a little bit of exfoliation to get the excess debris off your body. I've been using a variety of body washes that still give that luxurious lather to make sure that I feel cleansed, but they all have different ingredients and they still give me the same result. Always going to reach for my Necessaire body wash or the Multi-Acid Body Wash. And because I rotate between these products practically every day, my body acne is usually kept to a minimum. The Olehenriksen body wash is going to be Multi-Enzyme, while the Hanalei body wash is going to be Multi-Acid. This is going to have AHAs, BHAs and PHAs to soften the skin. The Multi Enzyme cleanse is going to use three different zenzyme ingredients. It's going to help make your skin more radiant, it's going to help soften it. It has Vitamin C and E for antioxidant protection, as well as evening out the skin tone. Really lovely formulas. I can talk about these all day. But I have still been reaching for two hydrating options as well. This is going to be the Lily and Yuzu Body Wash from Salt & Stone and this is going to be Josie Maran's Hydrating Argan Oil Body Wash. Hydrating Argan Oil Body Wash: Argan Oil + Amino Acids + Coconut Surfactants. Gentle, hydrating cleanse with no stripped skin. Lily and Yuzu Body Wash: Prebiotics + Vitamin C + Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid. A balancing, hydrating, and protective cleanse that keeps skin soft. The main point of all these options is to find a body wash that's going to make sure you feel cleansed while not stripping your skin. You don't want your body overproducing oil and you don't want your towel not cleansing you. Optional Step! Instead of body oil, I chose body exfoliant pads. I'm excited to use these. These are going to be the T.X.A. Body Clarifying Pads from Cellmax. What I chose to use on my body after the shower instead of going in with body oil, I needed something that was not going to stick to my skin or resurface. They have 0.5% Txa, 2% Niacinamide, 3% AHAs and 0.3% BHAs. Now, I know the niacinamide may be a turn off for some people who are sensitive to it, but these upon first use were incredibly gentle. I don't have any tingling, I don't have any stinging or redness. I use these on the sensitive parts of my body like the shoulders and the neck, as well as in the spots with the most stubborn hyperpigmentation, which happens to be my legs. Perfect choice. I cannot sacrifice not moisturizing my skin. It is a non-negotiable. I will never do that. But I do have some options that I've been finding really helpful, especially during these high temperatures. The lightest options that I have are going to be the Hempz body moisturizers. I've really been enjoying the Triple Moisture option. I think my skin really likes this one. I've also been reaching for the Original 48-hour hydration moisturizer. They're very lightweight lotions. They do not make these lotions feel heavy whatsoever, and that is exactly what we want. But if you want an option that's going to provide you with more radiance, as well as a little bit more moisture, I reach for my Awakening Body Lotion from Brunel. I really want to show you guys the finish of the Brunel. So I am going to wipe off all of my body sunscreen. This is the skin with no product. The moisture lasts all day. The scent to me is very pleasant. And the most important part is that it doesn't pill under any body sunscreen that I've tried. If you want to use a body butter, just make sure that you're using one that can actually absorb onto damp or dry skin and does not leave your skin feeling heavy or greasy. I personally enjoyed the Whipped Argan Oil Body Butters from Josie Maran. What I used this for today under my body sunscreen. It does it for me every single time. And even if you want to put on a little bit more, it looks exactly the same as when I started this video. That is exactly why I'm recommending this as a summer body butter. Protect your skin in ALL conditions, but especially in High Temperatures! The radiant skin that you saw at the beginning of this video was not without using a body sunscreen. You can choose a nourishing body sunscreen instead of a body lotion! Bonus points if it is sweat/water resistant! You can choose a nourishing body sunscreen instead of a body lotion! Bonus points if it is sweat/water resistant! I personally went in with the Bask body sunscreen mist today. This is a non-aerosol invisible SPF spray with 80 minutes of water/sweat resistance, which I always reach for. Now, I know a lot of people don't love the scent of an SPF spray or SPF gel or cream. Thankfully, we do have a lot of fragrance options now that make them a little more pleasant to use. This one in particular has a slight vanilla coconut scent. Thankfully, I do not show this much skin when I go outside. Otherwise, I would use a body sunscreen like the Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion. That way I could apply it everywhere and feel more secure in my application. It does not say that I don't feel secure in this. I just prefer to use both if I can. Now, remember that you cannot just be using active ingredients on your skin and not using SPF, especially in the summer. Physically and Chemically Exfoliated skin is easily burned/compromised and should be protected as much as possible. You can always find a way to make sure your skin is moisturized and protected while not sacrificing the radiant finish that you want. Look at the options you're choosing, see what you can play with, see which ones you can layer first, or maybe not use at all. Hope this was helpful. If you have any questions, do let me know because I have a lot more than this. That is it. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe in the heatwave if you are experiencing it. Bye.
