there's a mystery substance on here that is super sticky and I can't seem to get it off. So I've grabbed some acetone and I'm going to take steel wool and scrub the finish off. That should take care of it. It might take some of the stain off too, but I'm going to seal it again anyway. I'm getting progressively sweatier as this project goes on. It is 107 degrees here today. The acetone is taking the stain off of the nightstand too, so this is kind of a two-for-one project to kind of scrub and then wipe immediately or else the dissolved finish will dry back onto the piece. I'm going to use a random orbit sander. I'm going to use some 220 grit sandpaper on here. I'm going to use some wood glue and then I'm going to clamp it. I'm going to use Krylon chalky finish antiquing wax. I'm going to use a brush and apply it to the wood. I'm going to use a rag to wipe it off. I'm going to use a brush and apply it to the wood.
