AND WE FINALLY GOT THE MAIN EDGE OFF BUT WE RAN INTO ANOTHER ISSUE IS THAT I NEEDED TO CUT IT A LITTLE SHORTER BECAUSE AS YOU SEE HERE, THERE'S STILL DAMAGE FROM WHEN IT WAS BROKEN.
SO I HAD TO GO IN A BIT TIGHTER, WHICH WAS HARDER BECAUSE THIS IS ALL ON A SLIGHT GROOVE AND THIS CUTTER ONLY GOES STRAIGHT, SO IT WAS HARD.
SO AFTER I FINALLY GOT THESE PIECES OFF AND I DID EVERYTHING, I DECIDED LET'S GO IN AND SAND IT DOWN.
THE BACK OF THIS MAINLY MADE OUT OF LIKE A FOAM, SO IT WAS VERY EASY TO SAND DOWN.
AS YOU'RE GONNA SEE HERE, IT LITERALLY TOOK SECONDS FOR IT TO BASICALLY JUST SOFTEN AND GET THESE GROOVES LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.
SO, YEAH, IT'S LOOKING PRETTY DARN GOOD.

Y'all remember when I thrifted this for $20? Yeah, that's why I thrift, y'all. I'm addicted to it. But it was broken, remember? So I made a video like, hey, should I repair it or should I cut this edge off? Or what should we do? And majority voted, just cut that edge off and keep the other detail. So I agree. So let's do it. So I got my tool out. Y'all, this is not easy, okay? Cause there's like divots in and it doesn't want to stay straight and it was hard. So we decided to work smarter, not harder, and flip this bad boy over. I don't know why we didn't think of that. But also, there ain't nothing that's ever gonna test your patience and your relationship by doing DIY crafts with your partner. Cause I swear to God, this man, and my patience was gone, okay? Anyways, we finally figured it out and we got these pieces off. It's a bit of a tedious, you gotta go very slow, but we did it. And nothing, nothing grinds my gears like being watched, okay? So I was like, get out of here, go work on something else. Let me finish this so you did. And we finally got the main edge off but we ran into another issue is that I needed to cut it a little shorter because as you see here, there's still damage from when it was broken. So I had to go in a bit tighter, which was harder because this is all on a slight groove and this cutter only goes straight, so it was hard. So after I finally got these pieces off and I did everything, I decided let's go in and sand it down. The back of this mainly made out of like a foam, so it was very easy to sand down. As you're gonna see here, it literally took seconds for it to basically just soften and get these grooves looking pretty good. So, yeah, it's looking pretty darn good. You guys gotta remember my library is all black and gold, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna paint this beauty up, okay? So we're taking spray paint, we're going around and we're painting it all in, okay? Um, I am gonna come back with some rub and buff and put some gold rub and buff on this, but for right now I gotta let this sit and dry. And then my next video, which is definitely still gonna happen today, I'm gonna come back and show you guys how about the gold and we're gonna install it today too, because we have a photo shoot tomorrow, okay?
