So after recording the video I recorded about whole life insurance, I got a couple of comments on the video and then I also got people who DM'd me sharing their story, how they have lost money. Some said they've lost about $20,000. Some about $12,000. Now, I want you to watch this particular comment, I'm going to screenshot. I want to show you something. This person said, God bless you for us. We the immigrants has suffered into this dame whole life insurance scheme. I paid in $300, after 2 months of paying $600 and call their attention to the fact that I couldn't meet up with that amount. They had to ask me how much I could afford which I decided to continue with $300 but 3 years after which was in this January, I asked if I could have some money from there but was faced with an embarrassment as I was told, I couldn't have anything from there because I've just been paying $300. Meanwhile, the agents told me at the start that, it's an index investment and I can start taking out money after 3 years. They went further to say, I read and signed the agreement of which the booklet was so voluminous and I couldn't even read through but just listened to the agent untold story which was just the positive part to bring me in and make his gain. I got mad and abandoned it after losing more than $12,000.00. We as immigrants have suffered into this damn whole life insurance scheme. I believe it's January 2026. I asked if I could have some money from there but was faced with an embarrassment as I was told, I couldn't have anything from there because I've just been paying $300. This is very heartbreaking. And I'm sure that this is just one example out of many immigrants who have been sold this financially devastating policy. If you listen carefully, you will see that this particular person was sold into the policy at a premium of $600. And after two months of paying $600, they couldn't meet up with that amount. And then they were asked how much they could afford, which they decided to continue with $300 but three years after, which was in this January, they asked if they could have some money from there, but was faced with an embarrassment as they were told they couldn't have anything from there because they've just been paying $300. Meanwhile, the agents told them at the start that it's an index investment and they can start taking out money after 3 years. They got mad and abandoned it after losing more than $12,000.00. They were told that after 3 years, they would be able to withdraw from their policy because they are investing part of their contribution. But guess what? Three years later, $12,000 contributed, they want to withdraw and they are being told stories. The challenge with some of these insurance agents is that they don't really realize that they are just destroying people's finances. You are selling a life insurance policy that somebody is going to be paying a premium for the rest of their lives. And then they've even added their children on top of it, which has increased their premiums significantly. And they don't realize that over time, that premium will still continue to increase. Whatever cash value is supposed to get at the particular point in time that they have promised you will just be a percentage of your contribution, which I think is very, very disingenuous. If somebody like this can invest close to $12,000 hard end dollars, and then be told that at the end of the day, you cannot even withdraw $1 from it. Meanwhile, the agent was paid one year's worth of the person's premium. I wonder what else would be worse than something like this. So please, wherever you hear people selling whole life insurance or index universal life insurance, make sure you ask them critical questions. Do your research. We have Google, we have AI to our rescue now. Do your research. Try to make sure you get the right information before falling into this kind of financial products because most people are going to regret it in the future. And it's going to be hard-wrenching when you have contributed a whole lot of money, $50,000, $100,000, and you cannot withdraw a dollar from it. And they're telling you that when the person dies or when the person gets an accident, the person can withdraw money. There are other alternatives. And if you do your research, you'll find out these alternatives are cheap and reliable. So please, I hope this helps. I'm going to be putting up more videos to educate people and help them to understand why we should make the right financial decisions and why we as immigrants have to be responsible enough to help each other and not take advantage of each other.
