Hi guys, okay, so I'm actually not sure if I'm qualified to do this video but I can't reply individually to your comments and your DMs because I'm not always here on TikTok. But I want to share how I started modeling, because with you guys, and how I got all these gigs. But again, disclaimer, I have no formal training. I'm not a professional. I have not attended any workshops. So everything I know, I learned it online, on social media. So how I started? I have photographer friends who used to take photos of me for their portfolio. And those photos eventually became my modeling portfolio. So if you have friends, ask them to do photos of you. And then ask someone who works in the marketing industry, I'm a member of this group called ICAP, Independent Creative & Advertising Professionals. So ICAP, they post like, hiring for marketing, for creatives, anything like related to marketing field. But sometimes they also post casting calls there. And so I started sending my portfolio to them, to the people who take post there, then email lang ako or I would message them lang talaga on Facebook. So, I have to be honest, like it's not super easy. It took me more than 100 applications before I got my first gig. After my first few gigs, my first few projects, I started looking for opportunities outside of ICAP because most of the ICAP postings are for print or social media only. So I searched on Facebook directly casting call Philippines. So it led me to a lot of Facebook groups and then I realized that sometimes, there are casting call groups that are actually, you know, testing. So, but of course, you just have to be smart talaga. Um, when choosing who to apply to and who to message them, or Telegram them or even email them. Sometimes they just ask you to comment your set card. I don't usually do that because I feel so exposed. But yeah, they will reach out to you. So, kaya I responded to the comment, sometimes you find Facebook or Telegram groups that I have mentioned earlier. And I am in no way affiliated with those Facebook groups or I do not run any of them. And then, lastly, if you see a casting call that you like already, just message a caster or the talent supplier, then, um, try to build relationships actually with the agents and the talent suppliers because if they like you, if they like working with you, they're gonna message you again. So that's essentially it. Let me know if you want me to do more videos about the audition process, so after the casting call, if you get shortlisted, then you're gonna go through one more round of auditions. That's the end of my yapathon. So, let me know if you want me to do more videos about the audition process, so after the casting call, if you get shortlisted, then you're gonna go through one more round of auditions. So, number one, take photos of yourself already for your set card, and then take your VTR, that's where you say hi, I'm Ally, I'm 25, I sent five for total, and then you smile. And then, lastly, your yes acting. So you're gonna take a video of yourself saying yes and all the emotions. So, and then join the Facebook groups that I have mentioned earlier. So, I am in no way affiliated with those Facebook groups or I do not run any of them. And then, lastly, if you see a casting call that you like already, just message a caster or the talent supplier, then, um, try to build relationships actually with the agents and the talent suppliers because if they like you, if they like working with you, they're gonna message you again. So, that's essentially it. Let me know if you want me to do more videos about the audition process, so after the casting call, if you get shortlisted, then you're gonna go through one more round of auditions.
