Welcome back to my series, how to create content like a pro. I'll walk you through these simple but effective changes you can make to your content to take it from looking basic to looking premium. And today, I'm going to walk you through how to take the perfect Instagram photo but you can take perfect Instagram photos using nothing but your iPhones. So you can stop settling for photos you hate and start posting photos you love. 1. settings > camera > turn on grid & level So the first thing you're gonna do is head to your Instagram settings and turn on the grid and level. 2. straighten camera Now, position your camera so that the leveler is perfectly straight and any vertical lines in your background run parallel to the vertical lines on the grid. 3. set aspect ratio to 4:3 You then want to set your aspect ratio to 4:3 so that it's suitable for an Instagram post. 4. move back and shoot in 2x zoom Position your iPhone further away and shoot in two times zoom. 5. set timer if filming alone If you're taking photos by yourself using a tripod, turn on the 10-second timer so that you can get into position. 6. position camera at chest level Always want to make sure they're iPhone is at chest level while rather than tilting downwards. 7. position yourself correctly Make sure you position yourself within the middle third segment with your feet just above the zoom numbers and your head just creeping into the upper third segment. 8. ensure your shooting in burst mode Your photos will also look so much better in burst mode, so definitely ensure your shooting in burst mode. If someone else is taking photos for you, tell them to press the camera button and quickly swipe to the left so that you can get multiple shots of you whilst you switch up your pose and your positioning.
