If you're not photogenic, you're just not trained correctly and you're missing a few key elements that are going to make every single photo good. Hi, I'm Noelle, I'm a photographer, but I love to teach people how to take better everyday photos. So if that's something you're interested in, I share tips all the time, so don't forget to follow. There are five things that I do every single time I take a photo to make sure that the photo comes out exactly how I want it to. One, you need to face the light source. Otherwise, the lighting is going to be off. If I'm inside, I'm facing the windows. If I'm looking away, do you see how the light is not on my face? It looks so much better this way. You need to face the light source. Two, when it's really sunny out, ideally you're standing in the shade, facing the sun. Three, have a few go-to poses that you know you like and that you look good in and that complement your body. So if there's some old photos that you like yourself in and analyze what you're doing in those photos. Try to recreate them. Four, find a visually appealing background. Don't go stand in front of a brick wall and then complain that your photos are lame. Of course, they are. Find something that's visually interesting. Five, make sure that your camera person is taking the photo at the right angle. So if it's a full body photo, feet at the bottom of the screen, and there's a blank grid space above your head. And if it's close up, don't cut off at the knees, waist up, make sure there's space above your head still. Remember your beautiful.
