Today China made AI free. And I'm not talking about the lightweight open source stuff you run locally. I mean the premium flagship stuff that won't fit on your machine. It costs exactly $0 per token on open router until July 21st. I'm Gigaqian, I'm your China guy and I'm gonna tell you why. And how. This is from Tencent. They're the guys behind the messaging app, WeChat. The model is called Hy3. Endows philosophy. Hy3 refers to the chaotic state of the world before the earth and the heavens separated. Now that you know that, we'll be calling it H Y 3. It's a 295 billion parameter monster. It's got a 256,000 token context window. So you can feed it a mountain of documents, even a whole codebase. Now, why would a trillion dollar company build a massive AI model and give it away for free? Because they torched their entire AI division in January. Their CEO said their old model was like a high schooler memorizing, so they just shut the door on it. Later, they emerged with something built to crush agentic workflows and tool calling, 88 days later. If you know, you know. It's an MOE model. And if you follow me, you know what that means. During inference, it only activates 21 billion parameters. More interestingly, it has a 3.8 billion parameter multi-token prediction layer. Basically, this thing is blazing fast. If you're building agents, this is your guy. The preview used to have a restrictive license. So if you were in the EU, South Korea, or a few other places, you were SOL. No more. It's Apache 2.0 now. And you can even use this thing for enterprise apps. And if you've got the machine for it, call me. But the weights are on hugging face. And don't forget, six months ago, 10 cent had a blank repo. This is speed.
