Fugitive (game): one player is the marshal, one is the fugitive. The fugitive plays cards to escape the marshal, and the marshal has to guess where they've been to catch them. This game is super tense when you feel the marshal breathing down your neck, but it's so fun when you finally beat them. Agent Avenue (game): players choose two cards to play in front of you, one face up and one face down. Your opponent then chooses which one you want. These cards have different abilities, they can either move you forwards or backwards. The way you win is by catching up to your opponent. Sky Team (game): players are pilot and co-pilot trying to bring your plane into land. There's airports and a flight log to track which ones you've completed. Each one introduces a new mechanism to make the game even more difficult. We love this one because it's dice placement but there's so much tension to it. Aspens (game): players roll a die and can either grow up or out. Your aim is to control the most land. It's a real balance between growing out your forest cover early on to cover most ground or building up your trees and getting more to place later. Tokaido Duo (game): you control three characters. You control a pilgrim where you're trying to visit the most shrines and gardens. You control a merchant where you're trying to sell the most goods. And you control an artist where you're trying to gift the most paintings. We did not expect to love it as much as we do. Zenith (game): a tug-of-war style battler where you're trying to gain control of five planets using different agents and developing tech tree in order to gain influence over those planets. We love just how back and forth this is as things can change at any moment of time. Confusing Lands (game): players place cards on a grid to create your land using scoring conditions to score the most points. But for every condition that you have, you have to take 10 negative points, so you really have to weigh up whether it's worth it. Every game is completely different, there's no clear win strategy. Flamecraft Duels (game): players are placing dragon tokens in different arrangements trying to complete market cards. These dragon tokens can be powered up to help you meet market cards. Simple, great gameplay is also... Timber Town (game): you're a beaver architect trying to build up a city by drafting tiles from the river into the same column. Each column building has a different scoring condition, you're trying to maximise the points. The game is really simple but each game feels very different.
