In order to balance the gimbal, uh the plate that comes installed, you pretty much install it onto the camera. We've installed it already just to save some time. But once you have it there, you're gonna install it on the gimbal. Okay - make sure it sits flush and you lock it on the back. And then there's three accesses we have to focus on. It's the tilt, the roll, and the pan. So the first one's gonna be the tilt - we have a one of the locks here. And usually it's a two hand operation so one you hold the camera, one you release the lock. And so the first step is you're gonna place this facing up, and then on the RS 5 it's got these little knobs so we can push it forward or backwards. Right now it's back heavy, so we need to add weight to the front. So we're gonna make it front heavy until it stays more or less by itself like that. We're gonna go horizontal, and then it's got the similar locks on the back. And so right now it's front heavy, so we wanna make it back heavy. So we're gonna push these knobs back up until it stays more or less leveled. Okay - now I personally like to do a 45 degree check, just to make sure everything's okay. And right now it's not. So we're gonna reset and we're gonna do it from the start again. And right now it's front heavy, so I'm gonna push this back until it stays leveled like that! Lock it, go back to this position. Slightly little front heavy, so we're gonna push this back until it's leveled. And then we do our roll, right now it's left heavy. So we have to add weight to the right. So same idea we're gonna release the lever here, use the knobs and push it to the right until it is leveled out. Just like that. Okay, and we lock it. And the last one is the pan - which is this one down here. Now what I like to do is that I like to reset it to the number six. When we reset it to the number six, and we tilt it on its own legs, it's gonna go counterclockwise. So counterclockwise means that we have to go closest to zero. So I'm gonna go to this number one over here. I'm gonna tilt it again. Still going counterclockwise - but it's spun slower, so we're gonna do a little bit more. So we're gonna do a little bit more. And there you go, now it stays. So once it stays like that, that means it's balanced. We can go one step further, we can pick it up and tilt it. And it stays so that's balanced. What we do now is that we would turn it on. Now luckily, this one has the Auto On-lock feature so we don't have to worry about unlocking it. But we wanna make sure that the this little green camera checker is is green and this is letting you know that everything is balanced. If something were to be unbalanced, I'm gonna add some weight here. It's gonna show you orange or red. Same thing with the roll. So we just wanna make sure that that's green and not sort of orange or red. Once that's done, you press this button here which is the calibrate - start calibration, and now the gimbal's gonna calibrate. And it's just gonna let the motors know how much payload we have and how much counterforce it has to do when we're operating it. We should get a confirmation. That means it's done. We just return. And now it's operational!
