The tiniest act of trust made my morning

Every morning, this sweet little squirrel visits the feeders in my garden while I sit with my ducks. Today, she let me know they were empty. 🥹🐿️ I filled the feeder, held out a peanut, and waited. She was so nervous… hopping back and forth, deciding if she could trust me. Then, with the gentlest little paws, she took a peanut from my hand. Not once, but three times. Trust isn’t something you can rush. It’s earned through patience, consistency, kindness, and making another living being feel safe. In a world that moves so fast, these quiet moments remind me why I created this little backyard sanctuary. It’s a place where animals are free to feel safe, where tiny acts of trust become unforgettable gifts, and where the smallest connections can leave the biggest imprint on our hearts.
