SLIDE 1 At 19, I moved to America SIXTEEN YEARS LATER ... THIS IS MY STORY. SLIDE 2 Like many immigrants, I started from the bottom. My first job was cleaning tables at McDonald's. It wasn't glamorous, but it taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of showing up every single day. SLIDE 3 Within two years, I worked my way up to become an Assistant General Manager. I was even on track to manage my own store. But deep down, I knew I wanted to pursue a different dream. SLIDE 4 So I made one of the hardest decisions of my life. I left the security of that career and went back to school... ...to earn another bachelor's degree in Accounting, just like my first degree from Covenant University. Starting over wasn't easy, but I believed the sacrifice would be worth it. SLIDE 5 The journey didn't stop there.. Just one month after having my first child, I earned my Master's degree in IT Management. There were many days when balancing school, family, and life felt overwhelming. But I kept going. SLIDE 6 Then came another milestone. I earned my CPA license just months before welcoming my fourth child -- and only months after losing my father-in-law. Life doesn't always pause so you can chase your dreams. Sometimes you have to keep moving through both joy and grief. SLIDE 7 Today, I serve as the Group CFO for three related companies that represent one of the largest commodity groups in Minnesota. I also run my own CPA and accounting firm, along with other retail businesses. And I'm only just getting started. SLIDE 8 Was the journey perfect? Not at all. I've made money mistakes. I've questioned myself. I've had setbacks. But every lesson helped shape the financial knowledge I now share with others.
