How did I go from being homeless to rebuilding my life from zero? Funny enough it started the graduation. My friend who had not spoken to for like five years invited me to her graduation. She just finished her masters and she was celebrating with her family and some friends and during the time that I was being invited to this graduation, I was in distress. I was fighting for my life. I was struggling in my marriage, I had no clue what I was doing. I was lost. During the event, I kept being lammed in with happy years, friends who were quite accomplished and to the community. Nasimamisha everybody one one one and deep down I knew was a fraud. I knew I had spent the last four years. to that lost a drift, building somebody else's life, leaving somebody else's dream. even though I felt like a fraud, I also felt like the reason I feel like a fraud is because I belong here. I belong with you people, you are my people. A month after that graduation, I was given my orders will still get out of this house. And then you you know what you're right. I don't belong in this house. I don't belong here. And so because I had had that big shift in my mindset during my graduation, I knew it was going to be okay. And knew was in the wrong place. So it was kind of almost easy to just remove myself from a situation. I already knew. I don't belong there. The hard part was the logistics because I didn't have any any other capacity to get I don't have the capacity to move out of the house really. So it was my family that came to for me was them who came for me actually they picked me up to help me pick up the pieces I had to go live with my mom for a while. I stayed in the same town so let my children's lives could transition could be as gentle as possible in terms of school in terms of just life and access and all those things. I didn't really want to my children at so I stayed in the same town for a while. I celebrated my birthday in the town. eventually I left. I moved to a different city. Moving to a different city gives a whole different mindset, a whole different way of living life, life becomes just possibility after possibility after possibility, had a lot of support to help me just pick up the pieces, start a new, rebuild. Stop feeling so stuck. And then I focused on healing. And healing is very non-linear. One day you're very good. You're very good. You can accomplish anything you can take over the world. Other days getting out of bed. Does not feel that important. Like we care if we go to bed. I never imagined I'd ever be divorced and I never imagined I'd ever be a single mom. Does it all things like what? That's never going to happen. Like I'll never let that happen. Go. You know every day happens as who? As who. It became my reality but I made the best of it. The biggest difference between my life before and my life after is the peace. Just a. And I'm so grateful to the friend for inviting me to her graduation because I changed everything. It changed everything for me.
